The calculator keeps your data local

The cost calculator runs in your browser. The usage numbers you type are never sent to our server or anyone else. Currency exchange rates are fetched by our server (not your browser) and cached, so no third-party call is made from your device.

Cookies & consent

By default, advertising and personalization signals are denied until you opt in via the banner. We use Google Consent Mode v2: visitors in the EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland get the strictest defaults until they accept. Choosing "Necessary only" keeps it that way.

You can change your choice any time by clearing this site's storage in your browser; the banner will reappear.

Contact form

If you use our contact form, we process the name, email address and message you provide, together with your IP address and a timestamp (used only to prevent spam and abuse). We use this data solely to read and reply to your message. Messages are delivered to us by email and retained no longer than necessary to handle your enquiry and any follow-up — typically up to 24 months — after which they are deleted. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (and yours) in responding to enquiries; providing the data is voluntary, but without it we cannot reply.

Legal basis & retention

Third parties & international transfers

Google Analytics 4 loads on every page in cookieless mode by default; cookies and any advertising (Google AdSense) are enabled only after you accept all. Cloudflare provides CDN and security (processing IP addresses). Exchange-rate data comes from the European Central Bank via Frankfurter, fetched server-side. Some of these providers (e.g. Google) may process data outside the EEA; such transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (clearing this site's storage makes the consent banner reappear). To exercise any of these rights, contact our privacy office. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
